Song Club-2025

£12.00

During the Lockdown of 2021 Geoff Gascoyne started a songwriting club that’s still going strong today. A small group of musician friends get together online and play each other their individual interpretations of a particular theme that’s been set for that week. We talk through our writing processes and, as a consequence, have both learnt from each other, not only in our writing but how we demo up our songs too. We’ve had some wide ranging topics including Christmas songs, country songs, protest songs, haiku’s, jingles and lullabies, two chord songs, comedy songs, songs about bones, Halloween, winter, days of the week and even attempted a Eurovision style masterpiece! It’s kept our creative juices flowing and it’s also kept us relatively sane through a very strange period in history. We’ve already marked over 80 weeks of songwriting and I can’t thank Geoff enough for inviting me along - and for encouraging me, along with Pat, to turn a selection of my songs into an album.

So here it is!

Lovingly dedicated to the memory of Annette Sox Brown 1965-2022

Hope you enjoy, Jacqui x
