Another week at Ronnie Scotts Club is in the diary, 9th - 14th May. Billed once again as The John Critchinson Quartet featuring Jacqui Hicks, it's with Dave Green on Double Bass and Tristan Mailliott on Drums. This time opposite the great American guitarist Mike Stern (Brecker Brothers etc.). It's his first appearance at the club so should prove to be a good week! For further information call 020 7439 0747 or www.ronniescotts.co.uk

Although Shakatak's last trip to Japan was only back in February, we're off again in June. This time doing a couple of festival dates and possibly a TV show, instead of our usual visits to the Blue Note Clubs. A date in Seoul, South Korea precedes the trip. For further information www.shakatak.com

There are several dates coming up with Paul Lacey's Back To Basie Orchestra, including the Fairfield Halls, Croydon on 29th June. The band play all the Basie classics like April In Paris, Shiny Stockings and Li'l Darlin' and is quickly building up a loyal following. Other vocalists who have made guest appearances with the Orchestra include Anita Wardell and Jacqui Dankworth.
